I’ve been taking some time lately to do other things, both online and offline, not as much I should. If I take a break from my regular work I have emails piling up that need to be gone through. I started going through emails going back 6 months and opened some links only to find my browser closed them all before I could share them. I decided to turn this mishap into an an advantage by deleting everything from my inbox, rather than figuring out which are worth keeping, and focus on more recent posts.
Two regular tasks which take 10 days to complete were completed simultaneously yesterday and I’m starting afresh, but I intend to be more selective and see if I can drop a lot more items from my list. I have four links open in my browser, which I will probably have shared by the time you read this, and I don’t expect to be flooded with new material on a Sunday 😀
I’ve endeavoured to find my own voice rather than simply reiterate what others have said and I’m getting plenty of recognition from comrades who acknowledge what I hope to achieve within my ability. I’m encouraged by your comments to write more, especially about the one subject that I know more about than anyone else – myself 😅 All of my blogs, whatever the topic, are written from a personal perspective. I cherish the words of my mentor at university “not an ivory tower philosopher” and I’ve been told by someone who’s opinion I respect that my voice should be heard because it’s authentic 😊
It won’t be entirely a clean slate, some of my regular posts have become a tradition that will continue as long as I have a platform to share them, but I intend to gradually reduce the number of regular tasks – without going through the tedious task of sorting out what to keep and what to discard.

My support for independent lifeboats has become routine, but it took a year of research to create a resource that anyone can use. I’m not wiping that of the slate!
Friends who are mentioned in my #ff posts will continue to receive them either on Bluesky or X – I enjoy sharing and it gives us a break from the horror we’re exposed to daily. I consider it just as important as anything else I do online.
It’s the same with #SocialistSunday I will continue to post as usual with a new blog if I can, I hope to write more than one a week but I haven’t managed to establish a routine yet. This mishap could be the kick up the backside that I needed to do something different. I have a few projects in mind that involve collaboration with others, which will require me to learn how to inaugurate a zoom meeting, and I still plan on moving this blog to Substack sometime. It will always be free to subscribe, I’m not even offering an option to assist me financially and don’t expect to do so in the near future.
A reminder to comrades who haven’t yet joined me on Bluesky that you’ll find a warm welcome if you choose to do so, but I’ll still be on X for the foreseeable future https://go.bsky.app/PNyNcDW
Good to hear you are not leaving Twitter soon, I am loath to up sticks, there are so many good comrades on there. It is always good to read your blogs, you have had an interesting life, well lived. You haven’t sat in a corner and watched it pass by! And there is still plenty of life in these old dogs still! Solidarity Mike xx
