I think we can agree that Donald J Trump is certifiably insane, the sycophants who keep parroting the mantra that “Iran must never have a nuclear weapon include:

• Prime Minister Keir Starmer

• Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak

• Wannabe Prime Minister Nigel Farage
• Opposition party leaders of all colours other than Green

• President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen
• Monsieur le President Emmanuel Macron

I’m sure this list is not exhaustive, other European leaders can no doubt be added. The few socialists that remain in Starmer’s Labour, such as Diane Abbott and Richard Burgon, resist the insanity. Independent MPs Zarah Sultana and Jeremy Corbyn can always be relied to fight against evil!

On an international level, the attacks on Iran have been condemned by UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese and Secretary General Antonio Guterres, whose ability to intervene is undermined by the US veto in the Security Council! The US regularly vetos motions condemning Israeli genocide, just as it has done annually for three decades with with calls for US blockade of but Cuba to be lifted. These invariably fail to pass because of two opposed 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 and one absention 🇬🇧

Iran is being offered an Al Capone deal, one they can’t refuse! Secretary of State Marco Rubio say there will be dire consequences if they don’t choose the path of diplomacy and Vice President JD Vance says “The Iranians can go down the path of peace, or they can go down the path of this ridiculous brinkmanship”. They were going along the path to peace when Israel attacked! In the wake of Israeli strikes against Iran, Donald spent a few days saber-rattling only to back off … in the wake of searing criticism by some of the most reliably sycophantic members of his cult … He announced at a bizarre press conference that his decision to address the ostensibly urgent crisis regarding Iran would be put off for two weeks. Only two days later, he ordered the attack on Iran.

According to Netenyahu, Iran has been within 3 months of developing a nuclear weapon for the last three decades. Trump disregards US intelligence that shows that Iran that is not developing a nuclear weapon or has any ambition to do so. It would take years for Iran to develop a weapon of such massive destruction as is already available to Israel and USA, but these attacks give Iran an incentive to obtain one. Russian ex-president Dmitriy Medvedev claimed that a “number of countries” are ready to provide Iran with nuclear warheads.

Israel already has nuclear weapons and, unlike Iran, has not signed the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

The UK government has consistently refused to acknowledge the open secret that Israel possesses nuclear weapons. One reason Whitehall can be certain, however, is that it helped Israel acquire nuclear arms in the first place.

The UK has not only continued to provide Israel with arms but has dispatched more planes to RAF Acrotiri in Cyprus, and ordered more from the USA that are capable of carrying nuclear weapons. So there’s a risk of the UK being drawn into active participation in the war if it hasn’t already, so much that is unclear. It seems there were two separate ceasefires – Iran/USA and Iran/Israel – but I fell asleep and missed them.

I don’t know how many US soldiers will sacrifice their lives in Iranian strikes on their bases. I do know that those who die to make it happen won’t be called “heroes” by Donald J Bonespurs, they’re just “losers”.

There are a lot of terrible people who did everything they could to get Iran to kill US troops and spark a horrific war, but Iran didn’t take the bait. Iran doesn’t want war at all.
