This is more than a genocide!

My analysis in my last blog proved quite accurate, a day after publication I read of Palestinians tramping miles to collect a minuscule amount of food – much of it unusable without the means of preparing and cooking it – only to be herded into a tiny area to be shot down with hardly any means of escape!

I’ve also read of Israeli soldiers vandalising an abandoned Palestinian home in the West Bank, including defecating on a pile of children’s toys! This goes beyond genocide, it’s an attempt to degrade Palestinians to the status of animals. I’ll tell you what, the maniacs doing this are worse than animals, they’re fucking monsters 😡

I have one glimmer of hope, that’s the Refuser Solidarity Network – an organisation of conscientious objectors who refuse to serve in the IDF, or continue serving if they have done so previously. I receive regular updates via email and post daily. According to their latest update, refusal is becoming more mainstream.

A new initiative to end the genocide: help us stop the bloodshed https://us12.campaign-archive.com/?e=2cd8c36a06

I have made a one off donation to the cause and am considering making a small regular donation. In the meantime, I’m doing what I can to raise awareness of a small but growing network of young Israelis who seem to offer the best hope of ending the madness ✊

It’s quite surprising that any news gets out of Gaza when Palestinian journalists are being murdered daily and Western journalists are denied entry to the enclave. It must also be incredibly difficult to find a means of powering one’s phone or getting a wi-fi signal. Netenyahu is not trying to stop the news getting out, he’s telling us precisely what he intends to do and our sycophantic politicians are content to go along with it! Many of them wouldn’t recognise the truth if they tripped over it, and mainstream media is no better as Caitlin Johnstone makes abundantly clear in this Substack post.

Zen And The Art Of New York Times Headline Writing

I rely on Substack and YouTube for all my news now, although I’m still using WordPress for my own writing. Most of my favourite writers are essentially saying the same thing and I take no particular pleasure at having come to the same conclusion independently – I’m not a full-time writer and only post one blog a week (although I’m trying to get into the habit of writing something daily).

To be able to write one has to do a lot of reading, and I share everything I read on on Bluesky and X (saving some of them to share again later). This is an interesting article which takes what I’m saying to a new level. Starvation and the Final Test of Impunity: Why Israel Is Willing to Pay the Price in Gaza https://www.securityincontext.org/posts/starvation-and-the-final-test-of-impunity-why-israel-is-willing-to-pay-the-price-in-gaza

I have one advantage over established writers, I have nothing to lose! I don’t travel abroad and lack of mobility prevents me from participating in demonstrations. This means I’m unlikely to be charged under antiterrorist laws and am allowed to exercise my right to free speech if I can find a platform – sadly I’m unlikely to get a hearing anywhere it counts.

Another article I read this week was this article by Jonathan Cook: Piers Morgan just can’t stop himself inciting against the Palestinian people https://open.substack.com/pub/jonathancook/p/piers-morgan-just-cant-stop-himself?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

I don’t claim to be an expert in logic, although I was asked to tutor another mature student in symbolic logic when I was at university. I’ve forgotten most of the technical stuff, but I’m still able to reason logically and Morgan committed an elementary error called affirming the consequent. His argument goes:

  • Israelis are Jews
  • You hate Israel
  • Therefore you hate Jews

The absurdity of the argument can be illustrated by a mundane example:

  • Cats are animals
  • Dogs are animals
  • Therefore dogs are cats

When we see western politicians openly advocating the assassination of Greta Thunberg and Liam Cunningham to prevent aid getting to Gaza it confirms what we’ve suspected all along, the lunatics are completing their take over of the asylum by declaring anyone who disagrees with them to be antisemitic, woke, unpatriotic, commie and other words they don’t understand!

It seems Zionist supporters in the EU have balked at an an assassination attempt, it wouldn’t look good for Greta to be murdered along with an MEP, so they’ve come up with another plan to prevent aid reaching Gaza. They’ve sent out a distress message, to which the ship is bound to respond under maritime law, from a refugee boat of the coast of Libya.

What is particularly sick about this is that the EU frequently will refuse to conduct rescue operations themselves and will prevent NGOs who do so from disembarking survivors at a European port. It’s diverting the ship from one vital mission to another with the likelihood that neither will be achieved!

Big tech giants like Meta an Google are facing backlash from their own employees over contracts with Israel for the supply of artificial intelligence to facilitate the genocide. Microsoft has gone one step further and banned the word “Palestine” from internal emails. Admiral Nelson was justified in putting his telescope to his blind eye, there’s no excuse for anyone with two good eyes to close them to avoid seeing what’s happening in Gaza – if you’re upset by seeing images of starving children you need to stop the starvation not the pictures 😠

I can’t keep up with all the latest news. The US vetoed a UN Security Council resolution to end the blockade. This not unusual, what is unusual is that our sycophantic government voted in favour instead of abstaining. I still haven’t found an answer to this question that I asked last year.

What use is the United Nations? https://thephilosophicalmuse.blog/2023/12/04/what-use-is-the-united-nations/

There’s plenty Starmer could do besides giving Israel a stern warning that if the they continue with their ‘intolerable’ behaviour he’ll be forced to issue another stern warning, but he still can’t bring himself to utter the G word! He could start by expelling the Israeli ambassador.

An online petition, set up in December 2023, calling for the Israeli ambassador to be expelled has attracted more than 170,000 verified signatures – an unprecedented public display of disgust at her continuing presence in the UK.

I’m like the Captain of the Pinafore, I hardly ever swear, but I won’t apologise for going on a bit of a rant when I see what’s happening in Gaza and West Bank. Those who object to swearing in such a scenario have a serious personality disorder and I suggest they seek professional advice! Am I pissed off? Of course I am! You should be too 😠

  1. Thank you Mike, gone are the times of tiptoeing around Israel, they deserve every condemnation and swear word, but most of all they need stopped. I never in my lifetime seen the cruelty and barbarity of these people. Solidarity Mike.

  2. Thank you for the addition, I was glad to hear some Israelis are working towards ending the genocide, but we need far more to change Israel’s mind set. Solidarity Mike
