I’ve been feeling literally under the weather lately – too warm and I suffer from itchy skin, too cold and I have a constantly running nose, frequent sneezes. I often find myself shivering even when I don’t feel cold. I don’t know if the various symptoms have an underlying cause but I do know that I’m genetically susceptible to allergies and may be suffering from 2-3 simultaneously. I’m not poorly enough to sees a GP, but I’m suffering a great deal of discomfort which makes it difficult for me to concentrate on the work I’m trying to do.
I also get distracted by the rubbish I encounter on X and haven’t yet managed to 🤐 I can get quite stressed when technical difficulties prevent me from pursuing my program – I recently decided I needed to empty all old emails from my inbox, only to have them reappear! I’m trying to reduce my workload and going through a load of old stuff is more than I can cope with.
On the positive side I have two blogs ready for sharing, in addition to this one, and have ideas for more. I might have difficulty collaborating with others due to the Online Safety Act, I can’t communicate privately with others without providing age verification which I refuse to do. I will authorise anyone who already has my email address to share it with another trusted comrade.
I am hoping to get out next month to attend a protest in Leeds against Drax Power Station, which is not exactly in my backyard but in the same district (I can’t quite see it from where I live). I’ve been in contact with the organisers who will try to find me a list, even having someone meet me at Leeds bus station would be helpful as I will be in a wheelchair.
Lovely to see you are still thinking of attending a protest even if you feel under the weather. They can’t keep us old dogs down Mike. Solidarity x
